She said that Grey's will "be fine without me" when the time comes for her to leave.
"I'm not looking to walk away from Grey's any time soon," she said. "It's a great show, and I love being a part of it.
But I also have a lot of other things going on in my life, and this new arrangement will allow me to balance both."
