Jennette McCurdy's story can help those struggling with cancer

Jennette McCurdy recently opened up about the last conversation she had with her dying mother on an episode of "Red Table Talk."

McCurdy's mother, Debra, passed away in 2013 after a long battle with breast cancer.

During the episode, McCurdy spoke about how her relationship with her mother was "complicated,"

But that she was grateful for the time they had together before Debra's death.

"The night before she died, we had this conversation where she was just like, 'I'm so proud of you,'" McCurdy said.

"'You've accomplished so much, and I just want you to know how much I love you.' And I was like, 'I love you too, mom.'"

McCurdy went on to say that she regrets not telling her mother how much she loved her more often.

"I just wish I had said 'I love you' more," McCurdy said. "That's something that I struggle with, and I think a lot of people do."
