Prince Harry to Stand Guard Over Queen's Coffin

Prince Harry will be among the personnel from all branches of the Armed Forces who will form a guard of honour at his grandmother's funeral, Buckingham Palace has said.

The Duke of Sussex, who founded the Invictus Games for wounded servicemen and women, will wear an Army uniform as he takes his place in the line.

The role is likely to hold special significance for Harry, who served in the Army for 10 years, completing two tours of Afghanistan.

He was given the title Captain General Royal Marines by the Queen in 2017 and holds honorary ranks with several other regiments.

The funeral on Saturday will be held at St George's Chapel, Windsor, and will be attended by senior royals..

Including the Prince of Wales, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Anne.

It is not yet known whether the duke and duchess's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, will be present.

The funeral cortege will travel through Windsor Town before arriving at the castle grounds, where Harry and other members of the royal household will line the route.
