In a statement to People magazine, Spears’ rep said that the video was “taken out of context” and that the singer was actually complimenting her dancers.

“Britney was complimenting her dancers saying they worked so hard and did an amazing job,” the rep said. “She is proud of their hard work.

The video was taken out of context and if you watch the entire video you will see that.”

The rep also noted that Spears has “always been an advocate for body confidence.”
